Hello,

After hearing about the easing of restrictions from the 19th July, we’re coming up with a plan for a return to more ‘normal’ worship. In the meantime, things are continuing as before:

Sunday Services

9.30am – St. Bartholomew’s and Zoom

11.15am – Church of the Saviour

7pm – Zoom only (we’ll be finished by 8pm!)

The Zoom code for our Sunday services is below:

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/347838844

Meeting ID: 347 838 844

Friday Live!

We’re still meeting around family tables in the Church of the Saviour Hall at 6.30pm for an hour.

The last Friday Live! of the term will be on the 16th July.

Parents who are hoping to register their attendance for 2020-21 need to come along in person in June, July and August and sign the attendance register in the foyer. If that is not going to be possible because of health reasons then please get in touch.

Christians Against Poverty

We’re looking for someone to help with fundraising for the Blackburn CAP Centre. If that’s something you have experience in and think you might be able to help then we’d love to hear from you!

Men’s walk – Thursday 15th July, 7.30pm

It’s been a while since we’ve had a men’s event, so we’re planning on making use of the warm, light evenings to go for a walk, catch up and finish up in a pub. There’ll be an opportunity to suggest future men’s events for the year ahead.

We’ll be setting off at 7.30pm on Thursday 15th July from the Sunnyhurst Woods Car Park (just up from the Sunnyhurst Pub). The walk will be about an hour.

Church of the Saviour Clean Up Day – Saturday 17th July

This is genuinely a really fun time! If you’re able to help tidy up/clean/garden we’d love to see you involved, whichever service you usually attend. Turn up for as little or as long as you want and enjoy some covid-safe fellowship whilst serving the Lord.

If this is something you’d like to be involved in, please let me know.

Reflection

‘Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;

    make known among the nations what he has done,

    and proclaim that his name is exalted.

Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;

    let this be known to all the world.

Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,

    for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.’

Isaiah 12:4-6

Hopefully not long now until we can put this into practice again at our church services!

In Christ,

Chris
