Hello all,

We’re re-opening the churches on Sunday mornings starting from this Sunday (14th)!

At the moment we are asking people to book and let us know you’re coming so we can ensure you have enough room, and so we’re not ‘fully open’ yet. We’ll also need to continue following government guidelines on social distancing, sanitisation, mask-wearing and not singing.

The 9.30am service will continue to be live-streamed on Zoom for those who would prefer to attend in that way.

Easter Hope Trail

We’d like families living in Oakdale and Fernhurst to decorate their windows/gardens for an Easter Hope Trail this Easter. We have 8 houses signed up but there is room for more.

If you’d like to be involved by decorating your front window please get in touch before Wednesday. You don’t have to be in at a certain time; people just need to be able to see your decoration from the street.

Once we’ve finalised who’ll be decorating their houses, more info about how to do the trail will be sent out. The trail will be open to everyone…no matter where you live!

Friday Live!

We’re still working on getting Friday Live! back up and running. It may be we restart after Easter. Watch this space for updates!

The Prophets – Amos

What are the prophetic books all about in the Old Testament? Find out below with an example from the lesser-known prophet Amos.

Reflection

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed – a righteousness that is by faith from first to last just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’

Romans 1:17

Over the next few weeks, we’ll see that we can’t rely on our own righteousness before God – we’re a guilty sinner that deserve God’s anger. But through Jesus, God has given us a way to be righteous (right with Him). This right-standing with God is a gift from God that is received by faith alone…and it brings real life.

In Christ,

Chris
