Good morning (just about),

I hope this email finds you persevering in the Lord, however, your week has been. Here’s what’s coming up in the weeks ahead.

Sunday Services

Bishop Julian will be joining us to preach at both morning services and to Confirm two candidates at St. Bartholomew’s – Zacchary and Alex. Let’s be praying for them as they prepare for Sunday.

9.30am – St. Bartholomew’s and Zoom (Confirmations)

11.15am – Church of the Saviour

7pm – Zoom only

The Zoom code for our Sunday services is below:

Meeting ID: 347 838 844

As always, it would be helpful if you could let me know you’re planning on coming to the building.

Zoom Sunday School continues at 10.30 am, and there is a worksheet attached for children to do during the service.

Friday Live!

Friday Live! continues tonight. Please join us if you can.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting

Our Annual Parochial Church Meeting will take place after the morning services next week (Sunday 23rd May). We’ll be looking back on the last year, looking forward to the year ahead, and going through all the legal necessities. It should take about 20-30 minutes.

You’ll need to be on the electoral role, and there in person to vote (although you can join and listen in to Bart’s on Zoom at 10.30am). Attached to this email are the Annual Reports from both churches. Many thanks to Nan Goodall for putting these together, and for all who contributed. They will also be available physically this Sunday (let’s pray I remember to bring them!) If you have any questions from the reports, please get in touch.

Church Walks

We’re planning on getting together for a couple of walks now we’re allowed to meet outside on groups. Here’s the plan:

Saturday 29th May, 10am – Short 1 mile pram friendly walk led by Chris

Saturday 5th June, 2pm – Longer 5 miles walk led by John (sturdy footwear required)

If you’d like to come along, get in touch. And let’s hope the weather is nice!

Daniel in 8 minutes

Do you long to be faithful to God, even when it’s hard? The book of Daniel gives us so much encouragement to do this as it teaches us about the character of the Lord. Watch Daniel in 8 minutes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zb0vOi_pVCk

Reflection

Neither height nor depths, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:39

Last Sunday we saw that those trusting Jesus can be absolutely certain that nothing can separate them from God. Maybe over the last year you’ve had reason to doubt that. Maybe you don’t always feel linked to God. But it’s true none the less…God has chosen you, saved you, and will bring you home. No condemnation. No separation.

In Christ,

Chris
