I hope you’ve had a great Christmas – or as good a Christmas as possible given the circumstances.
Hopefully this email will provide you with all the info you need for January services and events. If we get put into lockdown again and churches have to close, we’ll aim to continue live streaming at 9.30am. (I’ve written this email before Christmas and scheduled it to be sent out later in the week so anything could have happened in those few days!!!)
During my study leave, you can still get in touch with a Church Leader from the Benefice on 01254 51206 or with our administrator Sheila in the Church Office on 01254 296409 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you help at Sunday School you should have received an email. If you haven’t please get in touch!
Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest [Jesus] had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. Hebrews 10:11-12
Jesus has sat down because the work of salvation is done. And we are in Christ: seated, finished, resting. Christ asks you to serve him wholeheartedly, but he doesn’t ask you to do more than he gives you the skill or time or energy to do. You don’t need to be controlled by the expectations of other people, because they’re not your Lord or Saviour. Your limitations can actually be a powerful testimony to Christ’s grace and power. For your identity is secure in him, and your future is safe in his hands.
