Hello,

This Sunday morning will be an All Age Service as we finish our series in Isaiah 1-12. At Bart’s, we’ll have video contributions from Reception Class (Redeemer School) to look forward to, with Reception children and parents joining us via Zoom.

Parents who are hoping to register their attendance for 2020-21 need to come along in person in June, July and August and sign the attendance register in the foyer. If that is not going to be possible because of health reasons then please get in touch.

Friday Live!

We’re still meeting around family tables in the Church of the Saviour Hall at 6.30 pm for an hour.

Christians Against Poverty

We’re looking for someone to help with fundraising for the Blackburn CAP Centre. If that’s something you have experience in and think you might be able to help then we’d love to hear from you!

Men’s walk – Thursday 15th July

It’s been a while since we’ve had a men’s event, so we’re planning on making use of the warm, light evenings to go for a walk, catch up and finish up in a pub. There’ll be an opportunity to suggest future men’s events for the year ahead.

We’ll be setting off at 7.30pm on Thursday 15th July. More details regarding meeting place and pub to follow, but it’ll be somewhere local.

Church of the Saviour Clean Up Day – Saturday 17th July

This is genuinely a really fun time! If you’re able to help tidy up/clean/garden we’d love to see you involved, whichever service you usually attend. Turn up for as little or as long as you want and enjoy some covid-safe fellowship whilst serving the Lord.

If this is something you’d like to be involved in, please let me know.

Reflection

In that day the remnant of Israel,

    the survivors of Jacob,

will no longer rely on him

    who struck them down

but will truly rely on the Lord,

    the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 10:20

Israel relied on the wrong thing…and it came back to bite them. But the faithful rely on the Lord, the one who rules and can save.

What have you been relying on to bring you hope/joy/security that is not the Lord? God tells us only He can deliver those things fully and eternally. Put your trust in Him.

In Christ,

Chris
