Private Prayer at Church of the Saviour

During this lockdown Church of the Saviour will be open for private prayer on Mondays and Wednesday from 9am-10am.

A Call to Pray and Give

We continue to pray as we approach our churches gift day on Sunday 6th December. The hope is that we can give to make up the financial shortfall for the year. All money we raise will go towards St. Bartholomew’s or Church of the Saviour (depending on which you choose to give to.)

More details of exactly how to give will be given next week, but for the meantime it’s really important we concentrate on praying. We can:

  • Give thanks for the good gifts God has given us.
  • Ask that God will give us generous hearts that value Jesus above all else.
  • Pray God would be pleased to provide our churches with more than we need so we in turn can be generous.
  • Pray that as churches and individuals we would use our money wisely and for the gospel to go out.

Bible verses you might want to reflect on as you pray:

  • Matthew 6:19-24
  • Malachi 3:6-12
  • 1 Timothy 6:6-19
  • Mark 12:41-44
  • 2 Corinthians 9:6-11

We will be having a Zoom Prayer Meeting on Thursday 26th November at 7.30pm to pray specifically for our financial situation. Please join us using the code below:

Reflection

Last week we saw a group of religious people obsessed with looking clean on the outside. To which Jesus responded:

What comes out of a man is what makes him unclean’….All these evils come from inside and make a man unclean.
Mark 7:20&23

So isn’t it fantastic news that Jesus offers to clean us on the inside!

In Christ,

Chris
