An open door…
People from all sorts of beliefs and backgrounds are welcome at our churches. If you were to join us on a Sunday morning you would come across people who have been Christians for ages, people new to faith, and people who are sceptical but beginning to explore the claims of Jesus.
At the Benefice of the Redeemer we would hold to the following beliefs:
We’re a Jesus focussed Church
We believe that if we have any questions about God, faith and even ourselves, the best thing we can do is find out more about Jesus. Feel free to watch this video to start exploring how the Christian faith is all about Him.
We’re an Evangelical Church
We believe the Bible is the Word of God and all we do as a church should be based on what it says. We wholeheartedly agree with the Church of England Evangelical Council (CEEC) basis of faith which can be found here.
We’re an Anglican Church
We’re part of the Diocese of Blackburn in the Church of England. The Church of England’s basis for faith is based on the 39 Articles which can be found here.
