Hello,

What a beautiful sunny start to the week (and to the holidays for many children and teachers.) Not long now until Easter! Thanks so much to all who donated Easter Eggs last week. Here’s this weeks news:

Or you can watch later on our YouTube account: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYbYhMFD15VTb_QVchA6OXQ

As always, it would be helpful if you could let me know you’re planning on coming to the building.

There will be no Sunday School this week but our Friday and Sunday morning services will be All Age.

Easter Windows – Follow the trail around the estate

Our Easter Story Trail around the Fernhurst and Oakdale estates is nearly here.

Houses around the estate have volunteered to decorate their windows creating a trail to tell the Easter story. At each house there’ll be a visual display, a Bible verse and a letter to note down. If you collect all the letters you get a goody bag at the final house!

This will be live from Maundy Thursday (1st April) to Easter Sunday (4th April) (although I won’t be home to give prizes whilst I’m at the church services).

A trail map is attached to this email. Make sure you do it in order. Please share this with others and why not meet up with another household to do the trail together?

Church Electoral Role

The Church Electoral Roll will be revised by the PCC, beginning on Sunday 11th April and ending on Sunday 2nd May 2021.

After the revision, a copy of the Roll will be published in the foyer for at least 14 days and a copy of the Roll will be available for inspection on a reasonable request being made to the PCC.

Under the Church Representation Rules any lay person is entitled to have their name entered on the roll if they are –

(a) baptised,

(b) aged 16 or over, and

(c) have made one of three declarations and duly applied for enrolment.

Please contact Chris or Sheila Fielding if you would like an enrolment form.

Reflection

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Romans 3:23-24

None of us have any righteousness of our own…we’re slaves to sin. But through the free gift of Jesus’ sacrifice for us, God has freed us from slavery to sin and declared us righteous. What a week to remember all that Jesus achieved for us by dying on the cross!

In Christ,

Chris
